Schedule Details

Day 1: Shimla / Manali to Kalpa / Reckong Peo
  • Start your journey from Shimla or Manali (depending on route).

  • Drive through scenic valleys, apple orchards, and along the Sutlej River.

  • Overnight stay at Kalpa or Reckong Peo with views of the Kinnaur Kailash range.

Day 2: Kalpa to Nako – Visit Nako Lake & Monastery
  • Drive to Nako, a quaint village near the Indo-Tibet border.

  • Explore Nako Lake, local temples, and monastery.

  • Enjoy peaceful village vibes and stay overnight in a homestay or guesthouse.

Day 3: Nako to Tabo – Gateway to Spiti
  • Enter the Spiti Valley via Sumdo.

  • Visit the ancient Tabo Monastery (over 1000 years old).

  • Explore caves used by monks for meditation.

  • Overnight stay in Tabo.

Day 4: Tabo to Kaza via Dhankar
  • En route, visit Dhankar Monastery and Dhankar Lake (optional short trek).

  • Arrive at Kaza, the main town in Spiti.

  • Explore local markets, cafes, and acclimatize to the altitude.

  • Overnight stay in Kaza.
